My name is Maria.
As a child I hated my name, so common, so ordinary. I wanted something exotic like Daphne, Sofia or even Marina.
Today I don't any more.
I've accepted it as I've accepted many other things in my life.
I've accepted that I'm married to a lovely and supportive man; I've accepted that I don't have children; I've accepted the nomadic life of diplomacy.
It was not easy and I still have a long way ahead of me.
This blog is an online diary of my life.
It has many faces and characters, like me. A mix and match of the things I see around me.
Kinda like a box of socks where no pair is alike. Searching through it you will find photographs of my travels and recipes for my favourite meals, wine and book reviews and random ramblings...and who knows what else I decide to throw in, in the future...
